STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. The Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God. They are His revelation to humanity, the infallible rule of faith, and the final authority for belief and conduct.
2. The One True God
We believe in one true and eternal God, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of humanity. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Scripture affirms:
A. His virgin birth.
B. His sinless life.
C. His miracles.
D. His bodily death and resurrection.
E. His exaltation to the right hand of God.
4. The Fall of Humanity
We believe humanity was created holy and with free will, but through voluntary transgression fell from a state of righteousness. This brought physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God.
5. The Salvation of Humanity
We believe the only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
A. Salvation by Grace - Salvation is God’s free gift to all. It is received by grace through faith, not by works. The only barrier to salvation is rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
B. Regeneration - Regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart. Evidence of regeneration appears in repentance and the fruit of the Spirit.
C. Repentance and Faith - Repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ are essential. Through the Spirit’s conviction, the sinner turns to Christ as Savior, Mediator, and King.
D. Justification - Justification is God’s act of declaring righteous those who believe in Christ. This includes forgiveness, peace with God, and the righteousness of Christ credited to the believer.
E. Sanctification - Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit that sets the believer apart for God. It begins at regeneration, develops throughout life, and is completed at the return of Christ.
6. Divine Healing
We believe divine healing is an essential part of the Gospel and remains available to believers by God’s sovereign will.
7. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise for all believers, distinct from salvation. It brings spiritual empowerment, deeper devotion, and boldness for ministry.
8. The Local Church and Its Mission
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of regenerated believers, called to fulfill the Great Commission.
Its purposes include:
A. Evangelizing the world.
B. Worshiping God.
C. Equipping believers for spiritual maturity.
D. Engaging the community with compassion, justice, and biblical truth.
9. The Ministry
We believe God calls and ordains ministers to lead the Church in worship, discipleship, mission, and evangelization locally and globally.
10. Ordinances of the Church
A. Water Baptism - Baptism is immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and the believer.
B. The Lord’s Supper - The Lord’s Supper, using bread and the cup, commemorates Christ’s suffering and death until He returns. It is observed by believers as the Church gathers.
11. The Blessed Hope — The Resurrection
We believe in the imminent resurrection of the dead in Christ and the gathering of all faithful believers at His coming.
12. The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the rapture of the Church and the visible return of Christ.
13. The Final Judgment
We believe in the final judgment in which all the wicked, living and dead, will be judged according to their works and cast into the lake of fire if their names are not written in the Book of Life.
